SHIPPING STEPS

3 - Client and us (RIntes UK) agree on FINAL PRICE which includes: Intertek inspection + Shipping + Vehicle Collection)

4 - Client Pays For the vehicle to us (Rintes UK) via Bank transfer, Western Union or Paypal. Payment details and Instructions on Invoice

5 - Commercial/sales invoice is issued upon payment receipt.

6 - Vehicle is booked for inspection with Intertek Inspection

7 - Customer is sent with shipment booking confirming date of departure and approx date of arrival.

8 - Car is Shipped - Transit time between 07 to 15 days approx to Maputo port;

9 - Documents are couriered out via top courier company DHL/FEDEX/UPS. A copy of documents is scanned and emailed with the tracking number

10 - Vehicle arrives at Maputo

What you should do

Complete the Application for importation of a second hand or used vehicle form (IE462)
If you are a South African citizen, submit the following documents:
- identity document or passport
- letter from employer confirming permanent employment abroad and reflecting period of employment (salary advices, payslips, job offers, job contracts, tax returns, work permits, etc. are not considered proof of employment)
- a certified copy of the official foreign vehicle registration certificate
If you are a bona fide immigrant, submit the following documents:
- a copy of your South African permanent residence certificate
- a copy of your foreign passport (page with photo and details)
- a copy of your foreign motor vehicle registration certificate
- proof of study or research to be concluded where applicable.

How long does it take
It may take up to five days to complete the process once all required documents are received.

How much does it cost

Itac does not charge service fees but you will have to pay customs duty at South African Revenue Service (SARS). Customs duty is calculated as a percentage of the value of the goods (set in the schedules to the Customs and Excise Act). For more info on SARS customs duty, visit the SARS website.

Is Duty, Tax (VAT) and Custom Charges in my country included in the price?

Duty, VAT and Custom Charges in your country is not included in the price. It must be paid by you or via an agent of your choice at the border of your country.

Can I make payment in Tanzania?

Not yet. You will be able to make payment in Tanzania very soon.

How to Buy and Make Payment?

You choose the vehicle, confirm with us, we send quote invoice, you transfer or pay us, we pay your customer. You can also pay directly to the seller, but we prefer to be in control of all transactions to make sure you are paying the right seller.

Payment can be via TT (Bank Transfer); Westernunion and paypal. Details to be provided when on process.

I would like to get advice how to choose vehicle in Tanzania. Do you have advisory services?

Not yest. Soon, you will get assisted at our local offices in Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Tunduma, Moshi and Zanzibar. We will have professional sales staffs. If you live in other regions, you can make inquiry by phone or email.

Is the price including Clearing & Delivery?

No. The price does not include clearance and delivery. Soon, RINTES will partner with local clearing agents in Dar es Salaam to help you save time and money by using our service without any worries.

Can I make installment payment?

No. At the moment, we do not accept installment payment.

How to know Tax, Duty and Other Expenses?

Does CIF price include tax and duty?

No, duty and tax are not included in the price. You will need to pay duty through your clearing agent.
